Dr Protheroe qualified as a medical doctor in 1987. He has worked as a consultant psychiatrist in both the UK and Australia since 1998.

Accredited Practitioner in EMDR, a specialised form of psychotherapy that involves reprocessing traumatic memories.

I treat depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, bulimia nervosa, body dysmorphic disorder, medically unexplained symptoms, functional neurological symptoms, fibromyalgia, psychological problems associated with physical illnesses, work related stress and relationship problems.
